DACA Applications & Renewals – Protect Your Future in the U.S.

What is DACA?

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a program that allows eligible undocumented individuals who were brought to the U.S. as children to receive:

- Protection from deportation for two years (renewable)
- A work permit (Employment Authorization Document - EAD)
- Permission to apply for a Social Security number and driver's license (in most states)

DACA does not provide permanent residency or a path to citizenship, but it allows recipients to legally work and remain in the U.S. without fear of deportation.

Who is Eligible for DACA?

To apply for DACA (Initial or Renewal), you must meet the following requirements:

- Came to the U.S. before your 16th birthday
- Were under the age of 31 on June 15, 2012
- Have continuously lived in the U.S. since June 15, 2007

How to Apply for DACA (Initial Application & Renewal)

Initial DACA Application (New Applicants)

- As of now, USCIS is NOT accepting new DACA applications due to ongoing court decisions.
- However, if you believe you may qualify, we recommend preparing documents in case the program reopens in the future.

DACA Renewal Application

- If you are already a DACA recipient, you can apply for renewal every two years.

When to Renew?
- Apply 120 to 150 days (4-5 months) before your DACA expiration date to prevent gaps in work authorization.
